Mr. Courtney M. Chaplin is a graduate of Wofford College and Howard University School of Law. At Howard Law, he was Managing Editor of the Human Rights & Globalization Law Review, Program Director of the Boys 2 Men Mentoring Program and a member of the Goler Teal Butcher International Moot Court Team. After graduating, Attorney Chaplin served two terms as a Legal Research clerk for the judges of the Connecticut Superior Court and served as the term clerk for the Honorable Stuart D. Bear of the Connecticut Appellate Court. Attorney Chaplin then worked at a small insurance defense litigation firm in Hartford. Attorney Chaplin currently works in the Civil Litigation Bureau of the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office. Attorney Chaplin is a member of the American Bar Association, on the Board of Directors for the George W. Crawford Black Bar Association and co-chair of the Professional Responsibility Section of the Young Lawyers Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. Attorney Chaplin is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Georgia.
